Psalm 22:3 (KJV) But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
At New Song, the approach to worship will be a blend of passionate contemporary music together with some classical elements of worship. The music will be high energy; the technical presentation will be first-class while always keeping the overall goal of an encounter with the living God in sharp focus.
Sharing with and hearing from God
Psalm 17:6 (NIV) I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer. Isaiah56:7b (KJV) Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
The only way we will succeed in ministry is to do it God’s way. We are committed to getting on our knees and staying there until God speaks.
The heart of God
2 Peter 3:9 (NIV) The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. Proverbs 11:30b (NIV) The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.
The heart of God is found in winning the lost. As God helps us, our goal is to become a place where people discover a relationship with a God who loves them and gave his life for them.
Becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus
Hebrews 6:1a (CEV) We must try to become mature and start thinking about more than just the basic things we were taught about Christ.
At New Song we offer practical training to move attenders from whatever level of biblical understanding and life application they currently have, to becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Discipleship also means being trained to do the same things that Jesus did:
John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than
these, because I am going to the Father.
Living life deeply with one another
1 Peter 1:22 (NIV) Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.
At New Song we believe that the best life possible is lived in the context of authentic community. We want New Song to be a church where people can find a place to be accepted and to belong.
At New Song we strive to be a place where you can find a place to belong, where people are unconditionally loved and deeply appreciated.
